Default upgrade from non-leather manual seats...

i currently have non-leather seats that are manual and extremely annoying....i have to turn wheels, push *****, press chair back and forth..
anyway, i wanted to get me some leather seats, preferably that aren't manual....

can i do that, can i just connect all the $hyt to the fusebox? or is it not even worth it?

im sure that if i go to a junkyard or shokan.com i can find the actual seats; the installation makes me wonder if i should bother with it....

It's a LOT of work. You'll have to weld in a third track for the motor.

Negative. The motor is attached to the bottom of the seat... I put S4 powered leathers in my A4, and watched the dude while he installed them. Have to grind off a bracket, and that's pretty much the worst of it. Wiring them up is a piece of cake.

EDIT: that was a 'negative' on the welding... it IS a fair amount of work, though.

Thats the main reason I didn't get a 1.8T, its annoying to turn a wheel, pull a lever, move back and forth just to adjust half an inch, ridiculous design.

Hahaha, that's THE main reason you got a V6? Weak is right
I actually liked my old seats... although the B6 manual seats are MUCH nicer. Mine just got a little tear in them, and, well... the S4 seats are effin sweet.

Hey to each his own. You might be use to it but after 5 days I was like hell no this **** is getting old fast. If Audi designed there **** like everyone else and made it simpler I wouldn't have a problem. Besides it sucks when you got a new chick in your car and shes impressed but she cant adjust the seat then you gotta say ummm pull that lever, no on your left, oh gotta turn that wheel no no the bottom one, yea lol. Plus I like my V6 more.

Haha I will agree with you on the new chick in the passenger seat. Its kind of embarassing, but you can pull it off by saying "yeah its weight reduction, this is a race car baby". Then make power seats seem gay.
