can someone suggest a good sound system upgrade formy 98.5 a4(stock non-bose), i've heard people mention infinity, is this the way to go?

 

i think it more depends what you like, i personally like Clarion.

 

I'mlooking for quality,doesn't have to be extremely loud.

 

I swear by Alpine.

 

alpine radios are good get urself a good head unit most important thing in a system. speakers go with diamond audio or jl audio a little expensive but not overpriced

Okay, I know this thread is kind of old, but I just replaced my front Bose speakers with Alpine's and they sound AWESOME (and I wanted to say so, but it doesn't need its own thread). My right speaker was blown, so it sounded kind of sh*tty anyway, but those little speakers really put out some nice, clean sound.

hows the install? any modification/mounts etc..?

 

you kind of have to make your own mounting brackets for the front 2 doors. besides that i think its 6 1/2 in the back and 5 1/4 up front. i used infinitys and mounted them w dynomat
