i am new in this member, and this is my first post. i need help in buying audi.
there is someone selling audi A4 1.8T. the problem is that:
- i have to get a HOOK that is connected to the hood that is going to the hood latch. i don't know what is' called, but it's ussually attached on the hood that makes the hood locked in the latch. do you guys think the dealer have only the hook? or i have to buy the whole set up of hood?

- how much it will cost me to program adn to get a new alarm? does anybody have idea?

i just need to know about the hood adn the alarm, please help me on this because i will buy the car tomorrow, but if i have to change the hood, then i will ask him to lower the price. can anybody help me

 

you can buy it from the dealer its 3 small bolts and the hook/ latch is off

 

You can get decent aftermarket alarms for like 100 bucks, which is a good investment. Ofcourse that doesn't include the installing of it, but that shouldn't be too bad.
I can't help you with the hooks though, sorry buddy!

 

hey badluckaudi, thank you to let me know about the hook. it thought it would be on the hood, with no bolts. about teh alarm, i think it would be easy, but thank you for the inpute guys, i would appreciate it. i think i will buy the audi then. thank you

i will post up some pics. he wants to sell it for 6000, year 2001. stick shift, still 72000 miles. do you think it;s a good deal? because i am thinking about prelude too. but it's not the same, it can't be compared, one is sport, the other is middle luxury.
by the way, i will post up some pics by saturday, let's see.

That is not a bad price. Is it quattro or FWD?

Have it checked by a mechanic for major problems before you buy.
