Hello all, I know I've read this before but can't find it for the life of me! Can anyone tell me where I can find where the tire size is stored in my computer? Also, if you have the tire size codes it would be very helpfull. I thought I had saved this information, but now that I'm buying my new rims, I can't seem to find it.

not possible to do with our ECU's - buy the right size

 

tyre/wheel size can be altered from manufacturers so what do you have on at the moment?

 

I currently have the stock 16". I believe the size is 215 60R16, and I'm buying some 18" with a tire size of 245 40 R18. According to the tire size calc, the diference is minimal, but it would have been nice to vag the computer to see the right siz.

 

as long as the diameter of the wheel doesnt change there is no need, the tire size is just to tell the ECU how fast your moving rpm of the wheels x distance travel per rev. as long as u donthave clearance issues it pretty much hot swap.

 

Ya, I just need to confirm my current size and run it through the ties calculator to make sure... I think I'm good, but always nice to be 100%. The speed shop feels comfortable with the size and the car ... guess I'll find out this weened when they get delivered. The only downfall is that they are supposed to be in tomorrow ao I can have them mounted before the long weekend and it's supposed to snow here tomorrow and continue to snow until Sunday. I know I know ... what the H3ll is going on up here in Ottawa! snow in April?!

 

take delivery and put them on yurself, takes liek 5 min a tire, after your late winter ends, we are expecting snow in apr in CT as well

 

Oh for sure ... I don't think I could know they are in and not pick them up.
