Default Used 2003 Avant Needs Repairs

So I recently bought a used 2003 A4 Avant Quattro 1.8T (for my first car) and the breaks are squeaking, a headlight has gone out, and my driver side window is often not working.

1st, how much would the audi dealer charge me to fix breaks?
2nd- do they charge to fix headlight? if so how much? and is it easy to do on own?
3rd- is the window thing a common problem? i've heard quite a bit about it. is there something that needs to be fixed?

I appreciate any feedback, this is my first car and it's my BABY! I love it and want to take could care of it. Thank you!

I have the same ride as you! Brakes are going to squeak if the car was sitting outside or if the car was driven hard, so you will most likely need new rotors and pads. You don't machine rotors on Audi's if they are pitted and worn. So brakes at the dealer will be about $375-500, so call around.

Headlight can be done on your own unless it is a Xenon unit, it can be more complicated. The bulbs are expensive! If you are good with your hands, I would at least try to change it on your own. There a few diy's on the net for it. Otherwise I would guess the dealer would charge at least $55-85 for labor plus the bulb.

Your power window regulator or switches may be bad. This can be a little expensive, and should be done by the dealer since you cannot troubleshoot electrical without it costing you time and money. You can always look for a diy on the net and check your connections, but typically audi electrical issues are usually tricky, and the dealer would cut to the chase.

You may want to find a good Euro mechanic shop in your area to save some money.

Hope this helps.
