Well i just installed my v&s short shifter. To me it was a bitch because i have fat hands and small fingers. Plus on 99's and later NDBW cars the shifter opening is like half the size as 99.5+. Total cost was $139 shipped to my door and the instructions couldn't have been any easier. The actual feel of the shifter is great, when changing gears its totally different, like you know for sure your engaged in the gear you selected. As far as slop it was minimized its still there but i am opted to get a new ball socket from the dealer to replace and hopefully help with the little bit of slop that is left. As time goes by it wears away and you can see plastic shavings around the shifter. Total install time was like 2hrs. Ough the height i chose was 1" below stock. I have pics but i cant figure out how to compress it, ****** computer.

I've seen some short shifters on ebay for our cars for like 60 bucks, do you think there any good?

Yea, probablly crap but you get what you pay for. When i got my short shifter i got it in a group buy and alot of the people were switching from b&m, stratmosphere, and neuspeed. I'll post pics tonight.
