Default v1 hardwire question

I had my v1 hardwired in my previous vehicle and did not bother to take it out. Can I just get a phonecord and some radioshack parts which I have seen in a few writeups and go to town or is there something I need from the actual v1 hardwire kit to hardwire into the fuse panel? -tia

you can do the phonecord/radioshack approach... i never did the V1 install on my a4, i have the 8500, but my roomate did the v1 install on his mazda and went that route... the installation is prob a little different, but just follow the audi writeups on audiworld.com , they should do the trick

you can also just order the cable directly from V1 if you want to be 100% sure.
