Im interested in picking this up for my car. On ebay, i see the adapter for 50 bucks. are there other things that i need to purchase so that i can have the luxuries of auto roll down/up windows, auto close when driving etc etc.

im guessing, ill need the software, obviously, but is everything pretty much plug and play?

 

Those are not the greatest. I would get the real deal from Ross-tech.com. You'll still need to activate the vagcom software for 100 bucks. The shareware version it will come with kind of sucks. Also if you have any problems rosstech will laugh at you because you bought a generic version. If you buy one of the cheap ones, make sure your laptop has a serial port. Some people try to use USB to serial dongles and they are filled with problems.

 

yeah go wit www.ross-tech.com now they sell only dongles so theres no registrtion involved
