i know that the 409 is the older version and the 607 is the current version. but what i am guessing from the ross tech website is that the 409 cant be activated to the full version from the shareware version. only the newer 607 can be updated to full? is this true?, i have no idea. i am looking to get an ebay cable and just download the 409 from the website. what do you think?

 

ebay cables can only use the 311 or 409 and you can make it the full version for $100. anything over 409 you have to have a real ross-tech cable to make work.
