i have a 1997 a4 and i am looking to buy a vag-com diagnostic tool, the problem is im not sure which interface i should get. Does anyone recommend a good place to download/buy it, and which interface should i get?

Or http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/interfaces.html#Chartif you want the real deal. Both work for reading and clearing codes but the ross-tech will allow you to change values for windows and things of that nature.

I did not have good luck with the usb interface but the serial works great. Hope this helps.
