Good call dudley, I forgot all about vacuum hoses!

 

It's a 98 A4q. Jestnomen:"Normally you would either see P1138 or P1136. " Actually those were the codes that popped up when I vag-com'd it.

 

I understand that, I was just saying it is rare to have both O2 sensors fail at the same time.

Took it to a place that specializes in european cars today, he tells me it's the MAF. Bummer...

 

That was the same conclusion I got from a local Audi mechanic here where I live.
Since I couldn't afford the repair, I decided to do a little more investigation and with the help of the VAG COM and CLConversion, I narrowed it down to those two hoses. I replaced them myself and took me 1 hour for a total of $30. A lot cheaper than the quoted price of 2 hours labour plus the cost of the MAF.
The VAG COM saves me the diagnostic fee and worth every penny I paid for it.
Get one and save yourself some cash!!!
