Default Vag Tool (hardware): Reputable?

I found this on Ebay, and this seller is in Shanghai, China..

Anyone deal with them or have one of these?

I'm looking to put together a Vag tool that is cheaper...

Got myself this:
http://stores.ebay.com/alpha-bid/USB-Vag-Com-Cable.html
Works fine with 311.2 & 409.1 versions. (currently usin' 311.2)
Alpha-bid seller has a good reputation, especially in case of returns/exchanges.

VAG-Tool from Rosstech will use USB connectivity for only original VAG cables.
For 3rd party cables (like these), the drivers that you will install will simulate a COM port, which you can change to any COM 1 to 4, whichever is available.

I would rather have the product shipped from within US.

I dont have a serial port on my computer so I could not just us the vag cable.
The problem I have is I cant figure out how to get my computer to see the Usb converter that I need to use.
I don't know that much about computers.

Did u buy the serial to USB converter with the VAG serial Interface, or did u buy it seperate like from Belkin and other company.
A product link would be helpful though.
