So I did my valve cover yesterday everything went smooth until I over torqued a valve cover nut and the stud snapped . So I went to the dealership and got a new stud to replace it. Has anyone replaced one before. It looks like a basic screw the old one out and put the new one in. I have a 98 1.8t. Just curious if any one had any insight on that. Looks like I wasted 30 minutes with this mess up.

 

Sorry to dig up an old thread but does anyone know where you can buy the replacement valve cover studs?
