Default Vent Housing Question

Does anyone remember how to disconnect the wire in the vent housing, so I can remove it from the dash? I have tried everything I could think of (pulling and finding a disconect) but cant seem to split the two. Any pics? The DIY boost gauge instructions from AWE doesn't show that in detail, which it probably shouldn't cause it should be relatively easy.

If you are talking about the red/black wires that control the lights for the vent controlls, then those wires run all the way back....to get that out, i believe you would have to cut the wires, then put em bak together when you put it back in

or, open the vent housing while its connected, and see if you can get to the actual end of the wires, making sidconnecting (even if breaking wires) possible easier

So I have to cut any rewire. Probably why I couldn't pull it apart then.
