I didnt say they can do anything they want, I said you were not forced to use their service, and your not. They have every right to charge what ever they like for a service they provide. If you're getting things under warranty, the rates make no diff, You don't pay.

If the problem is fixed under warranty then the dealer bills AoA, they get paid regardless. The major deciding factor on an iffy warranty claim comes down to your attitude to the dealers staff. If you make it a habbit of being a decent person to the staff 9 times outa 10 they will side with you on a case which could go either way.

This is my experience anyway, obviously mileage varies but I think the vast majority of people who beat up on the dealers on the forums have never actually gone to one and just jump on the dealerships suck bandwagon rather than speaking from experience.

 

well yeah i guess - but my angst comes from my cupholder breaking after car went over a bump (i had a dasani bottle in) and the dude said he can't replace under warranty when another dealer offered to replace it free

i was so nice to this first dealer
