I am guessing you ment 800 rpms? Not 8000rpms, that would be an insane idle especially since our tachs don't go that high! LOL

As for your problem. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? That could be your problem. If not than I am not really sure. Maybe clogged injectors or something.

Unplug your maf and see if things become smoother. Audi fuel filters dont get clogged to the point where you get running issues, it just doesnt happen. Im almost willing to bet my left nut its your maf. Scan for codes, just cuz there is no CEL doesnt mean there arent fault codes.

Seafoam if you want, but its not going to fix your problem.

I would assume since its an idle problem you have carbon build up on the throttle body, remove the hose going to the throttle body and see if you have "black" stuff around the throttle valve. If you do, use some throttle body cleaner and open the valve with your hand and clean all that crap out of there, and clean your MAF sensor.

But dont do both things at the same time. Try one,and then the other so you know which, if either was the solution. My left nut is on the line here [&:]
