Default Vibration

I've noticed a pretty substantial vibration at 50+ mph. I'm hoping it's a wheel out of balance. I just bought an '05 certified with 10,800 miles on it. Any other ideas on what it might be. My girlfriend had to have the drive shaft replaced in her grand cherokee right after she bought it.

It could be a number of things. Maybe even a bad tire. If it's certified and you just bought it, take it to the stealership and get it checked out. You could take it to a tire place too and see if it's something simple.

Check for mud buildup in the wheel. Seen that a few times. Most likly its wheel balance issue but it could also be a bent wheel.

but where are you feeling it. front back. which side.
definately sounds like wheels.
if you got new tires they could've easily left something inside
you tire. i've seen grease rags left inside tires. any number of
things could be inside it or the balance could be off from the weights
being off. its best to balance the tire both inside and outside rather than
just sticky weights on the inside. take it back to the people.
