Default Vibration under accleration

Hey, my girlfriend is looking at buying a 2001 A4 1.8T TIP (fwd) this week

the only thing holding them back is that under acceleration it vibrates and gets worse the faster it goes, said it'll do it in any gear

dont know if its tire related, they are worn poorly from bad alignment

out of balance?

tire wear?

just the alignment?

new CV axles (recently) ?

misfire? (the coil had been popped up but was down when this occured)

Tire vibrations are distinctive, if the tires in the front of the car are out of balance the steering wheel will shake back and forth, if the rear tires are out of balance itwill shake the seat.
If neither of these vibrations are felt it may be a wheel bearing.

we are just buying the car today, it has had the cv axles recently, i found another guy on here that had that problem with cheap rebuilt axles

i called the most reputable local german auto shop, described the problem and without skipping a beat he said he's 99% sure its the cv axles, asked if its had rebuilt axles put in recently and i said yes....

basically the drive shaft is the part between the CV joints ( inner and outer ) so if the Axel/half shat was bad then the CV joint was a bad move and the whole half shaft with both CV joints should have been replaced,
dont buy until this has been done chances are the splines on the half shaft are bad and could be expensive repair
