Video of my '02 A4... Fast driving.
Well since it's stock, I can't wait to pick mine up on Monday. I went in today, and talked with the shipping company, it's going to be here Monday morning around 10AM. I'm going to take off work to go pick it up, I'm sure it will be dirty as hell coming all the way from Colorado. Going to take it out and see what she'll do.
Do keep in mind I've got Toyo Proxies on my 17" Konigs... And as we all know, tires play a big role in "spirited" driving. So don't push her too hard with those stock tires, haha.
Yuikio, that road is so empty, you may as well have both lanes to yourself, haha. And the road is so long, that you can see hundreds of yards in front of you. There are just spots you have to slow down when you come close to (i.e Houses with small children, elderly, deer zones, etc), but it's mostly about just knowing the road. One thing I always keep in mind though, "The second you think you have control, you don't. And the moment you relize that, is never an enjoyable moment."
So I keep open eyes to what I'm doing when I go for a drive... I don't think I could forgive myself if I wrecked my A4GASM.

Cool vid, just out of curiosity, since I am dealing with some clutch issues on my b5...it looks like you slam your clutch to the floor when you shift, do you do that out of habit or do you have to to disengage the clutch? when im rev-match downshifting ive got inches between the pedal and floor. actually, i never go all the way down on any shift...its a matter of inches. Just wondering.
It all depends on how much ware you clutch has and where it’s engaging on the pedal, but I found its best just to go all the way or I might grind a gear just my 2cents though
Definately down for some waxing... If someone perverts that statement, I will destroy you. Haha
And we've got to get some new footage, I've got a video idea.
Miked, I put it all the way to the floor, so I can feel the engagement points better, it makes for much smoother rev matching and downshifting. Wish you could see in the video, but I've pretty much got Heel-Toe (A method of downshifting, while braking heavily. Basically you hit the brake with your Toe side, and hit the accelerator with your Heel side, so you can brake, and rev match the downshifts... It's taken me a while to perfect it.) nailed on the head, it makes driving so much more fun. But my clutch is starting to go, mostly because I like to drive... But it's worth it, haha.
