Default VIN Decoder?

So I've done a search about this and found a decoder that tells me all the normal stuff like, color, year, production plant and what not. What I'm really looking for is something that will decode the different features of the car. I've been looking around to buy an '01 A4 and sometimes I find a car but the dealer just sucks at describing whether its ATX or MTX, if its AWD or FWD, etc. I'd like to know what options it has in it also like Sport Package(if no photo is provided), cold weather package, etc. Does anyone know where I could find something like that? It would be nice to put in the VIN of the car and have all the details of the car pop up. I'm probably asking for too much but it doesn't hurt to try. Thanks!

I could have sworn I looked all over that site for that option.

I'll have to go look again then proceed to slap myself...

Thanks.

Am I just retarded or what? I cannot find where to put the VIN # in on the site like you said. I've been looking for half an hour.

Where on the site is it exactly? Thanks again.

Try this

http://www.vwplaypen.com/vin.php

It doesn't have a lot of info, but it's a start.

Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately I'm looking for more info than that.

Plus I just ran a VIN and it said the A4 was a two door sports car. Hmm. [sm=wtf.gif]

Did this ever get resolved? I can't find anything on their site either.

Is there a "My Audi" site or something that lets you register your car?

I need to figure out my build date and none of the VIN Decoders I am finding online tell you that for free.

EDIT: http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/e...ewsletter.html i the best I could come up with but nowhere is there an option to register your vehicle.
