Last weekend one of my tires went flag on the highway so I brought my car into VIP Auto to get all four replaced. They were the origin tires that came with the car and have about 50,000 miles on them. VIP Auto is a New England auto store like NAPA Auto. I had them put some new Pirelli P6 Four Season tires on my B6 Audi A4 1.8T with the 17" alloys. It was raining when I pick the car up so I just made sure they had put new tires on. When I got home I noticed that they had ruined all four of my rims. Some look like someone took a mallet to them. Others have road rash on them that I didn't put there. Plus there are scrapes all over them. I notified VIP Auto and this weekend I'm going to bring my car up to show them. I have a couple questions that you guys might be able to help me with.

1.) How much do the 17" Rims go for? My car is the 2003 with the Sports Package. So they are the 5 spoke alloys.
2.) What do you think I should ask for? I personally think they should replace all four rims, but I don't know if that is going to happen. Do you guys think they will replace them?

 

I think you make them replace all the rims. no one wants bent rims. tell them they can keep the set they ruined but you want them replaced.

at least shoot for this their insurance will cover it.

It just sucks because I've only had the car for about 3 months.

When I picked the car up I knew something was wrong though. When I asked for it they said, "oh ya thats done", and then the guy gave one of those "inside joke" smiles to the person next to him. I wasn't sure what it was about until I saw the rims.

 

just go in there with a quote for the rims and tell them you want it taken care of.
