I wanted to get some brighter and whiter bulbs. I was trying to decide between PIAA extreme, Hoen's or Visionbulbs.com Xeno match bulbs. Since we get %15 off at visionbulbs I decided to go with them (yeah I know great reason) well here is how they turned out.(these are in a 98 with 2pc halogen housings)

I love the new bulbs - they are a lot whiter as you can see and when we opened the door up they shined brighter against a hill about 45-50ft off.

I also purchased some of the "silver extreme" but I ordered the wrong size

makes me want HID's really really bad.

 

i have been waiting for a post like this i wanted to see if they would match my hids with out buying the m to find out and it looks like the will match so i will be ordering them for my fogsthanks

 

Visionbulbs claim that these burn at 4200k. no real way for me to test it. just visually I would say its very close. I think that I will order some H1's for my fogs and leave my hi's alone. that way when I do finally upgrade my housing I can just switch the H7's from the lows to high's and then go with the HID conversion.

 

I did the visionbulb H7 also but I wasnt that impressed. It does give a whiter light but the light output is not as great as stock. When I switch on the fogs I can see a lot better than with just the Xeno match bulbs. I guess I was looking for true HID performance when its just a regular bulb.

 

Are xeno match bulbs halogen with filaments?

 

yeah - they are just normal bulbs (not HID)

 

They do look good.

 

any probs with over heating/melting cuz im thinking about puting in some halogens my self that say they burn at 4000k i just dont wanna f**k up my wireing
