VISUAL OR PERFORMANCE??
All depends on what you're going for in your car... Do you want a car that stops people dead in their tracks (Doesn't take much with our cars), or do you want something that will be known as the Anti-Rice? It's all up to you man. Personally, I'm going for both, which is why it's going to take me twice as long.
In all Honesty. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO **** UP THE ORIGINA BODY OF AN A4???? They are unbelievably beautiful cars and changing their style is damn near Sac religious. Honda, toyota, Nissan. those are cars you can change the style on cuz they need it. an AUDI is too beautiful. If you wat help performance wise, there are tons of people here who are more than willing to aim you in the right direction. I don't think there are many people on here ,,who have lasted for very long, that have done much body work. Granted, there are a few widebody kits that are done tastefully and they still keep all the important lines, most aren't and will just get you flammed!
Personally, it depends on the car, if I were sportin the 1.8T I would def beef up the performance first. With natural aspiration(2.8 or 3.0) I'd dress up the exterior first and then I'd drop in the available mods.
like graffix said, the A4 is a great looking car to begin with...so might as well focus the finances/time on performance
I think you would be more satisfied with the car if it drove better than if other people thought it looked pretty

I love performance like you guys but it is something I cannot stand. I have to have lower car before everthing (it needs money). After that rims/tires (need little more money). And some small problems (clear corners, some other small stuff), after that end up with no money for performance
It takes time but deff., I spend more money on performence than out look.
Because performance takes longer time. Search search search.... You cant just go and buy something and put on your car.
I am still searching for what performance parts I really want... since 3 months... and still looking what is best for me...

Ok GraffixWB, you're telling me a S4 Front Bumper, S4 Rear Bumper, and S4 Side Skirts would horribly ruin the beautiful lines of the A4? Pffff... Ok dude.
As for changing the lines of Hondas... Personally, I've never changed the stock lines of ANY of mine. Civics are pretty good looking cars as is, as are most Hondas.
Anyway, if I were building a car for ***** out quickness, of course I wouldn't waste the $2,000+ on converting my lowers to S4, but I'm going for style and performance. That's just what I'm trying to get out of my car, personally. I honestly see nothing wrong with a clean HIGH QUALITY body kit on an A4, the sexiest A4s I've ever seen is on Rieger's website, I've thought about going the Rieger route, but it's always best to stay OEM, so I'll spend more money for higher quality.

Hey if your like me with 2 speeding tickets go for looks with slight performance. Biggest things when it comes to looks is spend the money don't just buy the cheapest parts thats when things start to get messed up.
Your kidding ,,right???? A4 and S4 are the same car. DESIGNED BY AUDI. !! of course I'm not saying that they would look ugly WITH OEM PARTS!!!!!!. That would be one of the few things that I would do. As for hondas, it's all a matter of opinion, and i think they are OOOGLY. they have had nice cars, nbut for the most part they feel like shoppingcarts to me.
I love all cars, but hondas just don't do it for me. I do love the REAL V-tec engines, but the cars just don't look all that great, and they are a dime a dozen. every highschool brat has a civic

Yeah, every high school brat has a Honda... But none of them can touch mine, haha. And I guarantee you, you wouldn't even be able to handle ANY of the Hondas me and my buddies have built. Don't feel too bad when you get destroyed by a shopping cart some day.
... And what do you mean REAL VTEC engines? Is there a fake one? Haha
And you said changing the ORIGINAL BODY OF THE A4 is Sac Religous... Sooooo... Changing the original body, would be changing the body in any way, correct? Which is why I thought you were against any body modifications. I honestly might go with an Authentic Rieger kit, but I like to stay OEM as possible, so I'll probably just dish out more money for the S4 lower end.
And audi2303 has a very good point... Never cheap out on parts for these cars (Or any car for that matter), I'm not saying to buy the most expensive part, just because it's the most expensive, but don't cheap out. Also, Stay modest with your performance, until you feel you can handle more. The worst thing that can happen is doing too much at once, and not being able to handle the car. And don't forget about supporting modifications... The more power you car has, the more handling and braking are going to be pushed, and those aspects of the car are going to NEED to be upgraded. I've seen many cars that were built with power in mind FIRST, and they end up in a ditch, upside down, and burning. So just be smart about it.
