I actually test drove one of my friend's Saab 93 before he sold it.
I didn't really push the car but the handling was horrible.

Yeah no GM product handles well, except the vette and the solstice/sky.

 

GM is crap overall, suprisingly the older 9000 saabs were actually very good handling but still had the fwd understeer.

 

When I was looking for my next car recently, the Volvo S40 T5 was one car I test drove. My impressions were that it was nice but it couldn't lay down the power like the 2007 A4, the styling was too plain, and minor little things. The dealership wanted $30k for the automatic I drove (they had no sticks), but my final impression was that car was not a $30k car. When I took the A4 out for a test drive, I said to myself "Now _this_ is a $36k automobile!"

yea id take an audi over a sabb or volvo any day but i dunt under estimate volvo tuners. theres a articlke in the new motor trend with a s60 tuned by a sabb aftermarket tunner and it does 4.6 0-60 so they def have potential.

 

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A SAAB. I test drove one when i was deciding what I wanted, the interior is ugly, the handling is terrible.. it feels like your driving a Toyota Tercell with no power steering. It's god awful, the Audi crushes it in every category...Even if the Saabs faster i'd rather off myself then drive one. Go with the Volvo or the Audi. By a mile!

 

the S40 awd 2.7 turbo engine is fast stock but they seem like tanks to me and i have never seen a person race a S40.
