I was wondering if anyone can direct me to a detailed thread about a a 2.8l or 3.2l 24v vr6 into a a4/s4. I am thinking about doing this swap and turboing it. Can anyone tell me where to begin?

How large are we talking here? I thought vr6 swaps were fairly common and were not one of those 80k plus projects.

 

VR6 swaps are actually not that common. It's a transverse motor trying to fit in a longitudinal space. Motor mounts, starter, transmission adapter plate all need to be fabricated. 034 Motorsports pretty much has everything you need, but it isn't cheap. Once someone is done sizing up the cost, most just opt to find a decent S4 2.7T and mod the **** outta that.
