Default New Build Thread!

Hey guys, you may have seen me going around asking stupid questions here and there. That's because I had gotten my 01 A4 1.8t back in January and have finally decided to do some work to it. So I figured I would make a thread and get your opinions of the things I'm doing to it, and potentially give me some ideas.

Plans:
Boost gauge in center vent(
Catback Exhaust
ECU Flash(Revo)
HID's Lows
HID's Fogs
DRL Strips
LED Reverse Lights
Painting Stock Wheels(Maybe)
Interior Ambient Lighting(Maybe)

Done:
Stage 2 Clutch(Did it when I bought it, not alone though)
710n DV

I will definitely post pics as I go, since all this will be going down in the coming 2-3 weeks!

Looks like a good start. I would definitely go for the boost gauge first, then chip/exhaust.

Do you have suspension plans? A nice budget route to pursue is the S4 suspension. Theres a noticeable improvement over the stock A4 suspension and you can find the parts dirt cheap.

I have the boost gauge and installing it tomorrow. The exhaust will be here on Wednesday and plan to install at my cousins shop on Friday or Saturday. I have my flashing scheduled with the guys next Thursday. And the lighting is on its way from Emilgevor. And Yes I have thought about suspension. If I were to do it, I am not making my car crazy low, I don't want a lowered car. But just for better handling.

And then I also got my exhaust in today as well! I will be installing it on Monday and definitely expect pics of it going on and running as well.

Congrats, theres nothing better than getting giant shiny parts to install on your car. What exhaust is that?

It would help if you resized the pics though, those are monstrous.

Yeah sorry I wasn't expecting it to be so big on the forums. The exhaust is SSAC, since I didn't want to dump $800.

Looks great. Don't forget to upgrade the DV when the reflash happens - a stock one won't hold the boost. Last I knew, Emil had a few in stock. Maybe you can have him add one to your lighting order.

Not sure if you noticed or not in the "Done" column. But I installed a 710n DV already last week. Thanks for the consideration though!

haha no worries. Just wanted to let you know :-P

Also, any recommendations on things to look out for when installing the exhaust? It seems pretty straight forward to bolt on. But hey, its an Audi, they like to make some things hard to do.
