Hello,
Well the mysterious leak that that's been haunting me turns out to be a coolant leak. Lately the coolant warning symbol has been flashing on the indicator. And I 've checked the expansion tank and the level is way down almost to empty. Dont' have the funds to have the leak fixed for now so I figured I add some coolant to keep a a safe level.
Just wondering...if VW's coolant would be compatible with my 03 A4 1.8t? I've called the VW dealer and he says it's technically the same with the required G12 additive mix coolant. I'm opting to go to a VW dealer b/c it's 30 miles closer than an Audi dealership from my place. But is VW's coolant the same as Audi's??

 

you can add G12 or G12plus, both vw/audi use the same damn coolent

pink is G12 and G12plus is purple

 

Thanks. I'll go to Vdub to get the coolant. And yeah it's pinkish so it should be the G12...
