w00t! HID!
My g/f was spying on me one day as I trolled VisionBulb's site and was reading up on the threads here about the HID deals.
Opened my Christmas package to find a 10000K H7 kit for my A4!! I dunno whats better, the HID kit or the fact that my girl put real effort into finding something for me... notsomething lame like underwear and socks. heh
Here's a question for HID owners... proper illumination is important to me - is 10000K too blue? I hear/read HIDs are garbage in the rain and there's more than enough of that here(welcome to the Pacific NW) ...
Would it be better to send back the 10000Ks (still unopened) and get some 6000Ks or even 4300Ks?
Eventually 3000K HID Fogs will go in ... but for now, the 10000K kit is sittin at my Everett home awaiting install... hopefully this weekend

IMO the 10's are really only for show vehicles. you are REALLY sacrificing light output, and you will probably be harassed by the men in blue. Personally I'd go with a 6,000 or lower. I've got 6,000's in my car, and at times I wish I had gone with a 4500. Maybe when my 6's burn out. Just my 2 cents.
P.S - Keep that gurl of yours! She rocks! haha...I got the "i'm not buying you a piece of pipe for x-mas" when I suggested what mine could get me for my car.

Yeah, the 10's have a nice blue colour to 'em... but I'm thinkin 6's would be better. VisionBulbs doesn't offer a 5000 just the 4300 & 6000. Sent 'em a PM ... we'll see what they say when they back from hol's.
And yeh, I plan on keepin the gurl
edit: Still wouldn't mind hearin from any other VisionBulbs customers who picked up a kit and what colour they went with and how they feel about their decision. So, please comment!
The light output is no where near as good as my 6000k's are and definetly be prepared to be harrassed by the police for having "improper" headlight color and pay a $54 fine. as you can see they are really blue.

4300k looks Xenon, 6000k looks Xenon Blue Tint with a little less visibility.
Honestly, if you were anywhere else in the country, I would say go for the 6000k's.....but you're not - you're in the rainiest part of the country.
4300k all the way for you, my man.
10000k is for show, those who don't know, and rice......IMHO.
