I hit up all the local junk yards today looking for some front end body parts for a 2000 A4 today, and I couldn't believe what I found![=(][=(]
I came across the very first Audi I owned. it is a 1997 1.8T FWD A4. I purchased it about 4 years ago, and sold it about a year later.
I knew it was mine because of 1 major detail.
The car was stripped down, but still had 1 of the one piece headlights I installed. And of course I had to modify the wiring to make it work. The wiring was all still there (pretty proud that the wiring lasted all these years).

This is a picture of the car when I sold it about 3 years ago.


When I first purchased it, it had a broken timing belt, and I was lucky enough to find a used engine with turbo for $350, so I replaced the engine, and this is a midway picture of the work.

Its a sad day to know that my very first Audi is going to be crushed and melted into steel in the near future[facepalm]

touching .... now, buy that car and restore it. I would, i mean it till has the orginal DYI wiring. Must be worth something.
