So I just bought a 2003 A4 3.0, Dolphin Gray. I would like to get the windows tinted, but am having a hard time finding pictures of what the different percentages would look like on my car. Does anyone have a good resource for this? I've found lots of tinted Gray A4's, but rarely do they list the tint percentage.

I dont have a Dolphin Gray B6, but this is 56% on mine. Most people go with 35% though. I wanted something mild:


I think the blue A4 has 35%, but Im not sure.

 

Ifyou look at my sig that's 20% from a side view.

most tint shops have samles of the different %'s hanging up or in a book to look at

 

Mine is 16% here's a side view....

 

I enjoy the silver pictures. Mine will be 20% when I have it done.

And just as an aside, not all tint comes out the same color. I've had three vehicles done in the past, two with 3M material and one with another brand. The 3M is jet black and looks awesome...the other looks just ok...it just has sort of a dull look to it. My Audi will be 3M. Quote was $360 for the whole car in 20%.

 

my car is 35% all around. tint is the way to go.

Got my tint done. 20% on everything but the windshield - I am really happy with the way it turned out. Took some quick pictures that aren't great, but thought I'd post them anyway.
