Ok, here is an update.
Valvoline sent me a package asking for broad details, pics, receipt and the estimate. The estimate from Audi was roughly $620 parts, and $620 labor. That includes the cupholder button, hazard button, credit card button, radio and a new center console.

man that just sucks! i would be so pissed.
but you know, a company like that probably knows by now they have a problem. i bet you get your money. still, they should have tested it before hand or something, damn!

Damn, I'd hate to see what happens if you got that crap in your eye during an accident or something.... Anyway, I hope they make good on the repairs

I almost bought one of these things the same day you posted this thread originally, I had planned on picking it up the next day since I'd (luckily) left my wallet at home that day.
