Default Warning! Dont put change in the armrest

I am still new to the Audi crowd but I have been loving my B5 S4 since I picked it up last month.

Anyway I usually drive with the armrest up as I can shift quicker out of the way. Well I had a passenger last week and they put some loose change in the top of the armrest compartment. I flipped it up and out of the way when I got in the car so I could shift smooth and take some corners and when I got home and put it down I couldnt open the armrest compartment more than 2 inches!!

Turns out the change fell back when I flipped it up and then the sharp corners lodged dimes and quarters behind the hinges.

That sucked.
Took me two days metal pointy things, and some sharp corners to get them to flip back out.

But now I am wondering if I got them all or if there are stragglers still in there.

I can open it about 80 degrees wide but not 90 degrees without putting pressure and getting a squeaking sound.

Is that normal? Is 80 degrees the norm? or should it open 90 degrees no problem no squeaking? I am just wondering if a dime or something is still stuck back there.

Thanks and dont put change in your armrest and flip it up... I'm warning you!

lmao. i did that the DAY i got my car. now i keep all my change in the litle ash tray behind the armrest. its a little akward to reach back there to get change when ur at a drivethrough or whatnot, but it beats the heck out of not being able to open ur god dam% armrest.

Damn, Compared to the arm rests I have had in previous cars, the Audi ones are small.

Other than that, I never put change in one, I dropped some changed under the seat and now it's stuck under the rail. [X(]
But I put my coins in that little mini card drawer compartment.
