water pump DIY or DDIY
im wonder if the water pump change is a do it yourself or dont do it yourself...
i had a mechanic change the timming belt on 80k now its on 120 k and water pump is shitting it, i dont know why i didnt change it back then, prolly didnt know its so close... anyway... what is the easiest possible way to get this pump out

On the 97's the water pump isnt driven by the timing belt. So theres no reason to do it with the timeing belt. Its down low on the engine. Next to the power steerint pump. The same front bumper removal applys for replacement. Its kinda tricky to get the pump out but the risk of serious engine dameage is far less than a timing belt drivin pump. So it would be to bad of a job to tackle yourself.
