i got an 02 audi a4 1.8t quattro......and i just lowered my car the cheap way....i heated up the springs in the front..lowered it about the inch....exactly wat i wanted...took the gap out between tire and body....i did this this afternoon....anyways.....tonite i was drivin around and my car just started wobbling a lil....like i had a flat.....so i seriously thot i did...i changed and put my spare on......i was drivin towards my house....and it was still doin it...i didnt kno wat else to do.....i dono if its somethin to do wit my tires?? or suspension? or transmission......i think its my transmission.....because i kno u have to have the front and back even becauuse its an all wheel drive.....but there not even....i figured since i have the same size tires from front to back....ill be fine....but come to think about it now.....i think thats wats wrong......but not 100 %......i want feedback on wat i shud do....shud i lower the back more? do i need to get a whole new gear box? cud it be somethin else.....???? i dono....give me suggestions and help please!

 

Sounds like you have F'd up your suspension.

1. After you took your suspension apart and ruined it, did you at least check the alignment?

 

dude, put on your flame suit cause these are not hondas, and you could of got a cheap set of springs for about 100-200

and are you sure you cut them evenly? did you seat them back when you put them back in?

i would stop driving take those springs off and get a new set asap

 

yeah you pretty much f***ed your suspension. now that you did that you might as well go all the way and get some springs and shocks. anyways why did you take the time to do taht instead of buying new ones?

Let me get this right - "heated up the springs"? so you didn't cut them you just melted them till they shrunk an inch? lol thats great . I'm sure it was a uniform job up and down not to mention left to right
