Ok, so the heat went in my '01 A4 and I had heater core replaced. It was clogged. Still, heat doesnt seem as strong as it was. Also had thermostat replaced. Heater flaps seem to be moving properly. Maybe its in my head. Does anyone have service manual with cabin heat temp specs? Much obliged. Thx.

 

Don't have what you're asking for but I have an 01 also and had my clogged heater core replaced less than a month ago.
Now the car gets so hot so quickly its crazy. I definately think something is wrong and its not in your head..haha
