Weird Button, what does it do?
Right behind the drivers seat on the plastic panel between the rear drivers side door and the front drivers side door there is a wierd button that looks to have a speaker on it. I pushed it and didn't notice that it did anything. anybody know what this button does? does it have somthing to do with the rear speakers or somthing?
i sleep in my car a lot so i know this one...i think
basically whenyou turn on the alarm there is some kind of motion censor...and it the alarmw ill trigger if it detects a certain amount of motion..
the first time i fell asleep in the audi i turned on the alarm.... switched sides.. the **** went off and i was wide awake... which sucked cuz i got almost no sleep that day...
true story..
lift ur jaws back into anatomical position.. i know you're in awe

ya well what is the speaker looking thing on the front window pillar by driver head used for???
alright, so I'm not sure what year yo have so I can't help too much but best guess is that it is a switch to enable/disalbe the interior sensors for the car alarm.
As for the speaker looking thing on the A-pillar , I think it actually might be the mic for the A4's phone system.

The microphone for the integrated Audi cellular phone (if youhave one)is located on the driver's side A-pillar.Near the top ofboth B-pillars, there are two little grill-looking things (one on the front, one on the rear) which are IR sensors for detecting motion and/or smashed windows. The button on the driver's side B-pillar near the floor is for switching the interior motion sensing on or off.
Cool, because as mine is now, if I leave the windows open a crack in the summer, the alarm will randomly go off. If I hit the button to disable it, then the wind blowing through the windows or whatever won't set offthe alarm?
