I warmed uo my car this morning, pulled outta my drive way, halfway down the street i noticed this weird noise coming from the rear of my car. Sounded like something was underneath my car. drive up the street to the next block. Pulled over checked underneath the car to see if there was something stuck. Nothing was there. Turned off my car, started it up again , drove off and the noise was gone.

Its fine now but i dont know what it was. Im thinking there was sumpin stuck in my exhaust. It sounded like a grinding/thumping noise.

 

Could be a dying fuel pump. Youll know if it happens again or gets worse. Maybe a big pebble or rock was stuck in your tread????

 

The body must have cut loose after a block or two of driving.

Make sure there are no blood stains on the belly-pan!

fuel pump warning, get ready for a new one, change the filter first its not a waste they tend to go together if you haven't changed the filter before

 

is this going to be an expensive procedure???

 

no not really but its a common fault with high mileage cars bosch is the culprit but have you known any car maker to make anything last forever??

 

car only has 55 k miles

 

check fluid level on rear diff
