Were S4 wheels made by BBS in 2001?
I bought a car that had beenspecial ordered which included 17" S4 wheels by acustomer who decided to not take delivery. Now I drove to adealershipin Dallas, Texas(United States) where I purchased the car, but I live in Houston and the streets here are terrible for high end alloy wheels.

Last year I droveover a pothole durring a rain stormthat deformed the inner lip of one of the wheels to the point that it was causing the steering wheel to shimmy. I had the wheel suitably repaired and it replaced the full size spare that was in the trunk (gotta love Audi for that), butI am curious about a replacement?

The Audi accessory cataloglists these wheels at around $750 each which in my case is cost prohibitive but I noticed that the markings on the back side of the wheels bear striking resemblance to markings found on the back of the BBS rims installed on my other car (not an Audi). I 99% convinced that this rim is made for Audi by BBS but does anyone know if BBS also markets this wheel throughBBS authorized dealers? I ask because often times, getting a replacement from a shop that sells BBS, is much less expensive than paying dealer markup for the same item.

Are you talking about the S4 Avus wheel? If so they are made by Ronal.
These are the Avus wheels.
