so i just got my first audi today 99.5, 1.8t, 5 speed, quattro, santorian blue...so while i was inspecting my car trying to figure out what everything did i see this button on the interior moulding right next to the drivers seat near the floor the image appears to be a car with heat radiating into it out of it or something...what the heck is this thing im afraid to push it ?
im extremly happy with my car, drives incredible
but i have plans to mod the car a slight bit im not sure where to start im very knowledgeable with cars and can do almost anything i put my mind to but dont know where to apply it...chip ? dv ? what ?

and the car did already get me into a street race and a speeding ticket...luckily not while i was racing

I think the button your are talking about is the interior motion sensor alarm. Mine is located between the drivers seat and passenger seat on the jam between the doors on the inside towards the floor, when it is lit it is armed.

 

yep it is for the motion sensor. it is to turn the sensor off. if you leave yur windows down with out pressing it your alarm will probably get triggered... it is sensitive

i would get a chip and i belive it is called a 710n. it is the dv off the 225tt

oh yea i know there are, i've been cruzing the forums for like 3 months while i've been looking for my car...reasearch prior to purchase is always nice.. i passed a red a4 today on the road i think i got a little drool on the shifter lol

oh and i forgot something..
im not happy wht my sound system at all it has a fairly nice alpine head unit and the highs sound amazing...but there is almost no mids or lows and the rear speakers dont seem you be either working or getting enough power...what size are those speakers in the rear ? could i put the 6x9 infinity references ot of my old car in there ? or would i have to buy something to fit ?
