On my 03' A4 1.8Q on the front dash in the center of the vehicle there is a small black plastic piece, what is it? Also I took the deck out and I noticed what appeared to be a GPS antenna connector is that indeed what it is?

Its a sensor that detects sunlight so the HVAC can account for a certain.... I dont know what..........................

 

Any idea where the connector goes to??

 

I thought it controlled your automatic lighting for when it gets dark out and what not...very well could be wrong. If you follow the headlight control swith wire back to wherever it goes, it should connect into somewhere.
