I bought an '02 A4 Quattro 3.0 with no modifications about 8 months ago and it's time for me to buy new tires. Which would you guys suggest? I don't want the cheap ones, I've gotta buy the 17" high performance tires, so I'm not worried about the cost too much. I've heard the Goodyear Eagle F-1's are good, is that true? I looked around in these forums to the answer to this, but couldn't find it. Your advice is much appreciated!

 

i love my dunlops but they're mighty soft.. do some research. you'll soon figure out what you want.

 

F-1's are good tires try tirerack.com they will have a bunch of different ones you can look at

The first owner had put Dunlops on it. They were pretty much worn out, so we recently replaced them with BFGoodrich in the same size (225-50-15). So far, so good.

 

first owner had yokohamas, gosh i love the tread pattern on those bad boys :]

 

you can never go wrong with a michiellen tire.. or how ever ya spell it. I had some bf's on another car and liked them...

 

Yes the F1s are awesome.

 

as soon as my winter tires come off, i need new summer tires...

OEM was Michilin Pilot Sports and i plan on buying them again.. nothing but good things to say about these tires !!

BTW, winter tires are Michilin Pilot Alpins

 

I have the F1 GS-D3 - excellent tire which I highly recommend. They are great in all conditions, including in the rain. I've heard from others that the Supercars have better dry traction, but that they are real filling rattlers.
