Not really, we're still slow even with chips. A4's aren't meant for speed; they're luxury cars. You need some salsa with your chips to make things spicier.

 

200hp is not that much really. Factor in quattro losses and the weight and the acceleration is not all that impressive. You can beat wimpy 4 bangers, congrats.

If you really want some better power, you need better mods than just the chip. Even then though, your power is still only respectable. Don't think your ever going to get Corvette type of numbers without some serious mods / money.

 

I know everyone says our cars are really slow and such, but honestly mine is just as fast as many cars i've driven... I have an 01 a4 completely stock and my dad's 2007 acura RL (not a viper by any means) doesn't feel any faster nor does my mom's acura.

 

we say out cars are slow because they are. 200hp is near the bottom of the ladder for cars these days. My stock '01 1.8T was incredibly slow......I mean I was weary of trying to pass a minivan. Stock, the 1.8T is one of the slowest cars on the road.........

even with a 1+ program, test pipe and full exhaust im not very confident..... im going to get a neuspeed TIP in a few weeks that should give me a few more hp..

This is a guy in Ottawa Canada that tunes these cars for crazy HP. I'm going to have him do my B7 to increase my 200hp to 260hp. I don't want to go much more then that.

 

How does your 2007 A4 2.0T Quattro Tip compare with the stock '01 1.8T that you had?

 

It's a night and day difference. Especially from a dead stop. There is an occasional dead spot in the tranny, but over all the power is good. I like having my tranny in sport mode rather than tiptronic. It keeps the rpm's upand turbo spooling so the power is always there.

 

Nothing if you are a terrible driver. Anything if the other driver sucks.

 

Do you have a 6th gear? Scion TC just look for front mount intercooler.
