A LOT of cars will beat a stock 2.8 off the line, but a stock 1.8T isn't one of them, given the same transmission.

Bottom line is, if you want a fast car (going by my definition of fast) an a4 is not by any means the best way to get there. if you want a nice daily driver, an a4 is a great car.
the point i was trying to make in my first post is, who cares what you can beat. fact is, youre driving an audi, which is a very nice luxry car.

I have a 2.8 with a intake and PES chip so most likely around 20 hp above stock. 1999.5 I was able to toy with a RSX-S this weekend. I killed him off the line went straight to 3rd and let him catch up. When his bumper was at my front fender I dropped second and it was bye bye birdy from there. I know absolutely nothing about the RSX-S other then that and it had an exhaust. It sounded/was driven like a manual. Made me feel good anyways. I have also raped a golf with a 1.8t swap and some custom work. People really like to knock the 2.8 but it's pretty damn decent. Also I seriously don't think that a 1.8t with 25 PSI is going to run forever. I think my 2.8 is.
