gunmetal is an exception. But no, it doesn't have to be metallic.

I actually kinda like the pearl white, but want a darker color.

I painted my old 944 gunmetal.. It's defenitly not the easier color to lay but the end result looks great.

I tend to like black, also gunmetal colors like my cars have been. I think the stock color is called volcano grey. But its ur car, u need to like it. It might be cool to do a color that no other a4 has.
