i have a 99 a4 which has a giac chip upgrade and a new forged diverter valve and a k&n filter, i'm pretty happy with the performance but i have 100k on the car already but i want more i don't have a lot of money to spend because i just finished my system with the tv indash. so i was wondering what i should do exhaust or k04 turbo? i have seen many different turbos but all i really hear about is the k04. if i was to go with the k04 turbo can i use everything that i have now, will the stock exhaust work? will the giac software work? i want the best bang for the buck becuase the turbo is as much as the exhaust. so what should i do? and what is involved with changing the turbo? thanks

 

Yeah you can just bolt up the k04 with the regular giac/exhaust etc... It is preffered to have more mods done with the k04 to get full potential, which you can find out about by using this: https://www.audiforums.com/search.asp

 

While the current chip will work with a K04, you wont get additional power from it, unless you go for the K04 programming. Because you already have a GIAC chip. they will discount the cost of the new programming by about 200 dollars.. To get the maximum out of the K04, you should get a free flow exhaust and will need a 5 bar fuel pressure regulator. Total cost of chip upgradeand turbo/instal kit, plus and regulator would be about 1200 dollars plus installation.

The exhaust runs about 600 dollars.
