Default what to do about new bilsteins

so i just got my bilsteins sports, all 4, and tein springs, the bilstein, in the rears it appears come with all the neccessary components to directly install the teins but the fronts look like i need to take the stock ones apart and take the base plate from those, because the front bilsteins don't come with a plate to set the springs on, so my two questions are

do i need to buy more hardware or just use the baseplate off the stock fronts

also how to tell how far to compress the springs, they are rated at 2.1 up front and 1.9 in the rear so how far do i compress the springs or where do imeasure in comparison to the stock ones
