What do you think about this car?
I was wondering if I could get some quick insight on this B6. I'm a little curious as to the color of the coolant reservoir. Any comments would help. I'm going to test drive it tonight. Also, there is another very similar one to it but is tiptronic.

So what does that mean or what could it mean? If the coolant itself is a true pink is it ok? Usually, I've heard, that if the coolant looks like it has oil in it that is real bad. Sorry for the n00b questions.
If its pink/red, then it should be fine. I personally wouldn't buy an audi with brown fluid. That usually means someone added the wrong antifreeze, which will corrode the engine.
So I checked out both of these cars and it seems like the actual reservoir plastic is a smoke gray color. Open it up and the coolant is oooze pink. I was happy with the 1.8T except for the considerable turbo lag on the TIP. Not sure if I would get used to that or not. I really want to get the standard tranny but with the type of driving I do it would get very old. To make it a harder decision the dealer suggested I test drive his '03 A6 2.7T TIP because I am a pretty tall guy and I would "fit" better in it. So I did and loved it aswell. So I'll get to my questions, I would really like the A6, but it's a little over what I wanted to spend at $20.7K with 47,000 miles on it (link below.) Then I received an email from the dealer stating that he has an A4 3.0 6spd sport fully loaded coming in next tuesday. It has 52,000miles on it and they want $20,599 for it. I'm wondering why they want basically the same amount of money for two completely different cars. Any ideas? I don't have a link for the A4 yet but here is the A6 that I drove. Really need some help on this please!

Shop around, you'll pay less from a private party.
And a little patience will go a long way for finding the right one.
Just make sure if you go private party, they have good records of all service.
Those you postedlooked OK, Id stick with a manual-quattro-turbo, and one thats not silver. Ther's a zillion silver audi's out there.

Yeah, I really don't want silver. I'm just puzzled by why they would be almost the same price. I really do need to be patient, but at the same time need to get rid of the car I have now before winter comes ('95 Caddy STS.) Just driving these cars made me fall in love with them. I always new Audi's were great, but now I'm just floored by the way they drive and feel.
