Hey I curious if anyone with this kit already sorry don't mean to steal the thread but with the kit I've heard that they put in the E05 Chip and if you upgrade to a FMIC you can use the J31 now I am thinking of getting a FMIC right away and I'm woundering if I can just tell them to put in the J31 file instead of the E05 file if any of you know this it would be greatly appreicated

here's what i'm curious about................?
this is all for an '01 A4 1.8t........
according to AWE's website:
the GIAC chip will add 40hp to the '01 , added to the factory 170 = 210hp
the K04 kit, which includes a GIAC chip says in the description "235hp!!" , this is only 25 more horses than the chip alone........
is this accurate? seems kinda stingy to me.
maybe this figure of 235 is based off of the 150hp base engine, I don't know.
hopefully someone will.

yea the 2001 was the only B that came with the K03 sport that is why it was 170 instead of 150 but go with the awe kit get the J31 file with a FMIC and that brings it up to 250

so this 235 HP figure........
you would get a total HP of 235 whether you were modding a 2000 150hp engine or a 2001 170hp engine?
does this x-tra 20hp just come from some existing turbo tweeks in the '01 that would become irrelivent with a turbo swap?

I just came back from getting my B6 chipped from AWE. Their Customer Service was very good and I LOVE their waiting area. Only question I have is I came home and put my car in nuetral (E-Brake pulled) and a flashing clock reading 2:00 appeared below the temp. readout on the center computer screen.
