What else could it be?
My car overheated and I too it to be serviced on. They stated that it was the thermostat and beeded to be replaced. ($407.00) along with two belts. They replaced it and it still overheats. What else could they be overlooking??? I need my car back. It's been 3 days!!!!
heh heh - he'd have to run it hard to warp the 1.8 block.
Could be a faulty gauge. I guess you made sure you have enough coolant, that your using the right kind of coolant, and that you have no blockages in your hoses. Also, an air pocket in the coolant line (as a result from refilling) might also cause overheating.

yeah the 1.8T has an imposible bleedin procedure if you didnt take it to the dealer they might not have bleed the air correctly and left an air bubble in there sumwhere. Even if they did bleed it right sometimes you still get rouge air bubles that hide out and **** you off.
