Just did my timing belt and im in the process of putting it back together and there is a spot near the bottom of the left cam next to the thermostat housing (see pic below) that has 2 bolt holes but I have no idea what goes there. I labeled all the bolts I took off and I have to bolts that it that I marked ac air guide but I have no idea what I meant by that lol. Any ideas? I want to start putting the bumper on but I want to do this right.

Are the threads dirty or clean? Maybe nothing - possibly where the cover bolts go.

 

Doesnt look like anything belongs there, x2 on maybe the cover bolts.

Hold the cover up to it and see if any holes line up.

Got it done!! Turns out nothing goes in those holes. Tougher project than I thought it would be. Replaced water pump, timing belt, tensioner, tensioner roller, snub mount, idler roller and thermostat. I had a little slack in the timing belt before but now that its fixed it runs much smoother. Thanks for all the help guys

Now you are qualified to install a BT! (or a supercharger in your case! - your a 6cyl right? )

Now that you know how to take it apart, it will be easy!
